Phone sits inside 2 pieces but the glass protective cover didn't sit right, kept bubbling and wouldn't read commands, so I pulled it off of the front piece and cleaned off the glue, installed a Real glass protector. then put the case back on and to say the least it makes the phone look even cooler and is 100% covered front, back and sides so no scratches. We have only had the Poetic Guardian a few days so far. They were delivered swiftly. The Poetic Guardian seem to fit nicely. We will be using them in the Automotive repair industry so they will be tested. We last used OtterBox and they lasted many years. Since OtterBox does not make a case for the MotoX4 we had to take another route. These Poetic Guardian cases do seem comparable to the OtterBox. This case kicks a$$. Similar to the Gumdrop cases for iPad. It's got a rugged plastic front part that slides onto the phone. You then slide that into the rugged back cover, button sides first and then make sure you press all the edges along the rim of the screen to be sure it seats properly. I ordered this case for my MOTO X4 on April 8 2020 and I have zero regrets. I work and live in Kuwait so a case is a must with the sand that magically appears in your pocket after a day outside. I've dropped it maybe 30+ times, had it in my pocket with my keys, screw driver or wrenches so the case has taken a good beating. The screen saver does not "stick" to the screen so sometimes tapping the screen is tricky. It takes a bit more patience. The quality of the case seems very good. I have had it for a few months now. A pop socket makes it perfect.

There's better and cheaper cases out there for durability than this Poetic case. Does not block any of the phones functions, such as the fingerprint reader. It's easy to install but tough to remove, which could be good if you don't plan to take it off. Durability feels very good and makes the phone easy to hold. Have only had it a few days. 5he gray/black case looks great and very sturdy, yet not too bulky. I don't use the finger print reader, so I can't rate that feature. Bought 3 of it already. My family is sticking to the X4 because of this case. Keeps phone securely in the case. Won't slip out accidentally. Takes quite a bit of effort to get it out actually. Holes are all accurate and do not block the ports. Has a nice high lip around the screen to protect from face down falls. It's one of the essential features of a rugged case that we look for. The material does not expand on it's own over time, unlike the Defender series.

Overall, it seems to be a well designed and rugged protective case. The only flaw as far as I can see is the flap on the bottom that's supposed to prevent dirt and other foreign matter from getting into the charging port. Once opened, it simply will not stick closed and gets in the way when trying to insert the charger. I finally cut it off.

This case has protected my phone from many mishaps and drops. Get dusts between the phone and the screen protector after awhile but it's a minor inconvenience for what I think is the best phone protector.

This failed at protection from a 4 foot drop, the back of the phone shattered. Lucky for me the phone just isn't pretty to look at but continues to work.
