I chose this one because of the thick plastic, as I take great care to keep my mattress clean. A friend helped move it but she didn't have the strength to nail down the mattress with her hands so she held it by the plastic which in most cases is likely to tear then the mattress will fall. It didn't tear, although I winced the whole time she wore it like that ;)

I bought a queen size bed and it fits a queen size orthopedic mattress with room for reserve. (See photos). The pouch is sealed at one end (it's like a pillow case) and there is enough excess plastic at the open end to fold over and seal with tape. The bag is made from durable plastic and has taken it down stairs, loaded it in the trunk of a car and taken it down a few times, then made it to a new home. No breaks or tears.

Bought these to move some mattresses to a new house. These mattress covers are very THICK. I have bought 1 king, 1 queen and 2 full sizes in these bags. They all arrived as expected. I hauled a few mattresses down the stairs, through the concrete garage, across the asphalt, loaded them into a truck, and hauled some more. Not a tear in sight! I used this to move my mattress to make sure it was protected. Good thing I still had my mattress pad because that plastic cover had ripped down the stairs and into the car just a few yards from me. This is unacceptable as I have relied on it to keep my mattress in top condition. Complete failure! I'm sooooo glad I had a decent mattress topper and it even got dirty because the thing ripped in multiple places. Definitely not durable and I definitely do not recommend this product!

This is an incredibly thick mattress cover, a great buy for the price. I first ordered something similar in price but very thin which I had to return. I ordered 2 double bags, one for the mattress and one for the box spring. They were easy to put on and due to the thickness I had no problem storing them.
