Too difficult to build

My 13 year old son couldn't build this. We spent several hours on it but we never finished it. This is only suitable for those who really enjoy building extremely complex models for many hours.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to say

Might need adult help but we all enjoy it

Made this with my kids years ago and wanted to buy it for a friend but they can't seem to make it anymore. It was hard to get the balloon not to bounce, but that was what made it fun.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Protection

difficult but fun!

We bought a set of 365 items for our 11 year old son. He loves to! It took him around three hours to build the first slide (by himself). His second session, which he conducted with the help of his 8-year-old brother, was over in about 30 minutes. This is definitely an educational toy. They created a section, tested it, and then made the necessary changes before moving on to the next section. We highly recommend this toy.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Volume

Great fun for older kids and adults, requires adult effort

The only tedious task is constructing the cords that make up the zip line. The little plastic pieces form the lines that are so much fun. Once this is all set up (and careful not to tangle) installing the lines will be easy too. Then the fun begins. The goal is to keep the ball on the lane, but move it quickly down and up the slope in order to take the curve slowly, saving maximum energy for the next descent. Provide adult supervision for initial construction and of course line assembly. Once…

challenging but fun

If you're looking for the perfect marble run toy, then you have it here. It took me about 4 hours to assemble. The key to this toy is the cables. They make for long runs and nifty trails. I would recommend this for people aged 14+ who are good at packing. Comparable in terms of effort with the assembly of flat furniture. It's like assembling a piece of contemporary Italian art, the curves follow the curves of the Dulles airport terminal. There are some errors in the instructions, particularly…

There are significant flaws, but fun nonetheless!

I bought this for my 8 and 10 year old daughters so we can put it together. They had other, much smaller marble runs, and they like them a lot. It took about an hour to assemble and required some patience, but it was a blast. There was a serious error in the instructions on the first page, but otherwise everything was fine. The biggest flaw in the design, and it's huge in relative terms, is the bracket that attaches the cables to the rail. There are these little plastic step tensioners that…

Unstoppable fun! in marble runs

The toy may look scary, but it's not: it's a lot of fun. At the very beginning there is some prep time, especially for building the base tower. There are some errors in the guide, but another review helped us figure it out. And in the end it doesn't matter. Any reasonable tower will do. Spend some time connecting the lines connecting the two ends of the thread. You can then assemble the long loop in almost any way you like (it's good to start with instructions/diagrams). The balls fall off the…
