Works as expected. Should be bundled with Rancillo Silvia, as well as a real tamper (not the plastic junk that comes with the kit). More work than the rubber that came with it, but it often didn't work due to leaking. To do this, you'll need to remove the coffee basket, replace it with a dummy filter, and then flip it over when you're done.

I have a Rancilio Silvia that I bought in 2006. This is an old model with the same holes in the pan. I've used this in a single beak group head for backwashing after each shot. I never knew I had to do this until I started researching Sylvia again. True, the car was idling for about 2.5 years. I ordered some scouring powder to continue wiping down the car.

I bought this item and not the cheaper one because the photo shows that it is the Rancilio brand. The one I got wasn't Rancilio but the generic one. If I wanted an unbranded generic I would buy a cheaper product. Return of the goods due to inaccuracy of the photo. I will buy a cheaper unbranded product. Most likely, this is the same, except for the letters stamped on the disk.
