I bought a green or gray lens and was hoping the brown lens would be a little better. These are certainly very good glasses, but sitting in the sun and taking pictures for long periods of time, Ray forbids brown lenses and puts on my Hoopik Maui Jim bronze lens. Maui Jim has little advantage over them. You can tell by taking off the bars and putting on the Maui Jim. I like them both but I want chuppies with .update readers I was taking my kid to school and the lens just fell out. The screw came

Lens fell out on sunglasses

I've had these Ray Ban glasses for years and I've never had a lens frame screw come loose and the lens didn't come loose or fall on the floor Lens was glass guess what , uh-huh, shattered. This shouldn't have happened with a 5 month old pair of sunglasses. Heck, I didn't even know Ray Ban had a lens mount screw? My last pair almost identical to these are over 3 years old and I still wear them, just the lenses are a bit scratched and I bought them as a replacement. I'll see what Ray Ban doesโ€ฆ

Excellent build quality

I am very happy with these sunglasses. They came with a case, lens tissues and papers as expected. They have a "weight" that I didn't expect. They don't look cheap even though they are made in China. yes they are real (Real Ray Bans are actually made in Italy and China on the same machines and from the same materials.) The lens has a green cast, as expected. I have to say they feel expensive and well made. I wear contact lenses and this is my first pair of designer non-prescription sunglassesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Big and chunky

The Ray-Ban name doesn't mean what it used to mean

The fit and finish of these sunglasses were far below what I expected from the Ray-Ban brand. The lenses themselves were very well made and worked well in the Southern California sun and blocked UV rays, but the frames left a lot to be desired. It's mostly plastic with a cheap plastic-chrome finish that honestly feels like it belongs to something you might see on a sunglass stand in a store. This pair is absolutely made in China and the craftsmanship, or lack thereof, is evident from the moment

Lenses fell out good for sunglasses women

I've had Beam glasses like these for years and never before has a lens frame screw come loose and the lens has popped out and fallen on the floor and it is a glass lens , guess what, yes, crashed. This shouldn't have happened with a 5 month old pair of sunglasses. Heck, I didn't even know Ray Ban had a lens mount screw? My last pair almost identical to these are over 3 years old and I still wear them, just the lenses are a bit scratched and I bought them as a replacement. I'll see what Ray Banโ€ฆ

Cons
  • So far so good

I have been collecting Ray Ban sunglasses for a long time (decades). I just received these Ray Ban sunglasses and took a good look at them. Even though they are made in China, the workmanship is excellent. I have other metal framed Ray Ban glasses made in Italy and I don't see any difference in the finish compared to the Chinese product. I can't find any defect. They fit my medium sized face perfectly right from the start. The metal frame is durable, as are the hinges and brackets. Theโ€ฆ

I wish there was a 4.5 rating I could give.

I first bought these Ray-Bans at my local sunglass store. That was the highest amount I've ever paid for a pair of sunglasses. I've always been one of those people who buy sunglasses 10-20 cheaper. After a few years I sat on them and they broke. It sucks. So I'm looking to replace it, the Sunglass Hut is still $200. Why Revain 110? I don't think this is fake, but these are not the kind of glasses you would buy from Sunglass Hut. I would say the frames are the same but the lenses are differentโ€ฆ
