See photos from the seller of the outsole. On plain black shoes, the dark part is felt and the lighter black part is rubber. The other shea has the white part made of felt and the colored part made of rubber. Okay so I bought from the Stride Rite website and there were no pictures of it shown and the listing didn't mention that it was part felt and part rubber. If your child slipped twice like mine did, now you know why. Refund and warning others not to buy. Your kids deserve way better shoes…

They fit my daughter perfectly. You go for greatness. Didn't realize I bought the wide width shoes until they arrived, but my daughter says they feel no wider than her other shoes. I will say they have held up well considering she usually rips her shoes in a couple of weeks. We've had them for two months now and they're great.

The shoes are comfortable and very shiny - perfect for a glitter obsessed princess! I didn't just buy them for the looks, I thought they might teach my toddlers how to put their shoes on by themselves without help. The Mary Jane strap is good for training the little fingers and motor skills.

I love Stride Rite and they have the highest quality kids' shoes, but here the straps have threads all over them and seem poorly assembled. Also, the shiny fabric that rose gold shoes are made of wears out after just a few wears.

They fell apart after a month on my 6 year old... only wear them to school. The rite of the step is usually very long lasting, but unfortunately this lot is not.

These are my daughter's favorite school shoes. Her foot usually needs more width, but the actual width is too wide for her. She says these are the most comfortable bumps she has. They look adorable in their school sweaters and shorts.

My daughter LOVES these shoes. She calls them her trendy shiny shoes. They fit as expected. No friction. The problem is that the velcro never sticks to one shoe and the other always comes off. No matter what I try, the belt won't stay down.

I always buy my daughter a pair of SR Mary Janes if she fits in her shoes. These shoes look cute with her school uniform, shorts or dresses. They are very comfortable and easy for my 4 year old to put on on her own.
