My girl needed easier reading, writing and finding things. It's great for getting that extra lightness when you need it. The low/mid/high settings are about 2ft, you can use a Lite or both and it works.

love it late! Each tip can be pressed 3 times to make the light brighter and then 4 times to turn it off. They can work separately or together. We use it for crocheting, and one night I even wrapped it around a bike grip instead of a headlight. I like this light very much!

Could have been 5 stars if it weren't for the plucking of the hair on the back of the neck. It should be smooth. Instead, it grabs and pulls the hair at the back of the head or neck, wherever it is. Not funny. Unkind. I had to put a piece of moleskin over it to cover that problem area.

Flexibility allows you to direct the light where it is needed - the light works well - my only issue is the sticker on the bottom of the blue element that is on the back of the neck rests. - I think it's supposed to be comfortable, but a very small part of the edge has lifted and my hair gets caught on it, causing it to pull - very annoying. I will remove the sticker and scrape off the remaining glue - should solve the problem.

It is like a flashlight and it is very difficult to use it regularly as a reading lamp comfortably. It has a mediocre focus, so the light is variable on the page. Light in one part and fading in two parts surrounding the light spot. The two spots are circles, each with a different brightness from the main center of the light source. This can come in handy occasionally when you don't have the best options, but it's annoying to use regularly.

I bought this to light embroidery but I'm having a really hard time evenly lighting my work. "Flexible arms" are not as flexible as shown in the picture and don't hold the position really well. It wasn't until I tried to direct those lights onto my embroidery on her arms that I didn't really realize how impractical it is to be working on something with such uneven lighting. I would also have preferred the batteries to the sudden light failure and 3 hour computer charge. Attractive idea, but…

I ordered this for crocheting and night time reading. My lighting for the evening knitting was not enough and it works really well. Three levels (actually six as each lamp has three levels) give me the right light I need at night and even during the day when working with dark yarns. It's also a great night light when I'm reading in bed so I don't disturb my husband while he's sleeping. Absolutely comfortable and adjustable. Highly recommended. My wife asked me if I had a headlamp that she could use while crocheting. Most of my flashlights were old and marginal at best. I ordered her a nice pink headlamp and then I came across this flexible headlamp. Both arrived on the same day. Although she liked the headlamp, from that day on she only used a flexible neck lamp.
