🦋 RECHERE Brushed Leather Butterfly Deployment Strap Review

I bought a few deployers from Rechere and the first one was good. However, this was defective. Maybe it was a one off quality control issue, or the matte blacks don't work (the other one I bought was the matte silver). Anyway, one side snaps into place well, while the other needs to be pressed hard and sometimes comes loose on its own. Average 3 stars as 1 was good and this one was defective.

Looks good with my custom leather Apple Watch strap, but I had to dremmel all the corners/edges to round them out because they are REALLY sharp and otherwise uncomfortable. If you have a dremel or very fine sandpaper and a little time to smooth the edges I would highly recommend this fastener. The buffed spots are metallic instead of black, but you won't see them when you wear them. If you don't want to deal with that, I'd skip this clasp. This brand has trouble deburring parts. The hinge has sharp edges that other reviewers say protrude into the bottom of the wrist and are quite uncomfortable. Another brand's $4 deployment clasp previously purchased from "the bay” was well polished and very comfortable. I will not buy this brand and pay twice as much. Anyway, I had to spend a minute with a Dremel and a whetstone to smooth out those sharp edges so I could wear it with a degree of comfort.
