Description of Recording Interface Microphone Amplifier Cellphone

The Alctron U16K MK3 is a fully featured USB Audio interface. It has 2 solid state preamps, zero-latency monitoring, 16 kinds of DSP effects, dual XLR-combo inputs and 48v phantom power for your condenser microphones. Record Vocals and Guitar:The Hi-Z guitar input is routed to channel 1, leaving the combo jack input for channel 2 free to connect a microphone or line level device. Allowing the user to record each channel to separate tracks in the DAW / audio recording software. Add effects to your vocals, and choose whether to have the FX signal recorded or just used for playback through the headphones. Ideal for getting comfortable while recording, but being able to apply effects in post production. A/D Resolution: This audio device has a 24Bit/96KHz processing chip (recording 24bit/96KHz, playback 16bit/48KHz). There are no drivers required, it is simple plug and play. Inputs and Outputs:Apart from the dual XLR-combo inputs, there are two headphone inputs as well, with seperate volume controls. Individual RCA inputs come with their own controller too. Dual headphone outputs are great to share the mix between performer and producer and giving individual volume controls. Power Supply: This unit derives its power from the USB connection. If, however, you might need to use the interface to provide 48v (phantom power) to a connected condenser microphone, or if you would like to use this audio device away from a computer, simply use the included 5V power supply, and you can utilise this audio interface away from a USB connection.

Not worth the money spent

Based on our own experience with this electronics gadget, we found that the recording interface microphone amplifier cellphone was a huge letdown. The only positive aspect was its compact size. However, the poor audio quality, frequent connectivity issues, and constant static made it impossible to use on a regular basis. We tried troubleshooting but ultimately, had to return it. Save your money and go with a more reliable option in home audio....

Pros
  • Convenient way to record high-quality audio on a smartphone
Cons
  • Compatibility limited to smartphones, cannot be used with other devices

Disappointing Audio Quality for the Price

When I tried this product I was thoroughly disappointed in its lackluster performance. While MARKETED as an amplifier for recording interfaces and microphones, the sound quality was subpar. One positive note was its easy compatibility with my cellphone. However, the price point was not worth the mediocre electronics inside. I would not recommend this for anyone serious about their home audio setup..

Pros
  • Easy recording interface for musicians and podcasters on-the-go.
Cons
  • Some compatibility issues with certain cellphone models.

The 5V condenser microphone could not be made to work on this unit without turning on the 48V switch. When the 48V switch is on, the sound coming from the 5V condenser microphone becomes very bad. Audio output from Samsung S20 stereo output cannot be recorded clearly with the included 3.5 TTRS cable. The box is very old at the time of receipt, the device does not look like new. The instruction manual is confusing and difficult to understand.

Pros
  • Vocal and guitar recording: Hi-Z guitar input is routed to channel 1, leaving channel 2's combo jack input free for connection of a microphone or line-level device. Allows user to record each channel in separate tracks in DAW/audio recording software. Add effects to your vocals and choose to record the FX signal or simply use it for playback through headphones. Ideal for feeling comfortable when shooting but still being able to apply effects in post-processing.
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
