False advertising.

How does this product get positive reviews? It doesn't charge my Surface Pro 3 or my Surface Pro laptop at all. I have tried several power supplies, power bank and still nothing. The display on the charger is shown as a tease to make you think it's working, but that's not the case at all. Absolute waste of time and money. Avoid this product.

I was very excited when I first received the cable, I can now use USB-C to connect my Surface Pro Charge Gen 8. The peak power that I was able to achieve is around 40 watts compared to the nominal power of 45 watts. The best thing about using a cable is that I can now use a portable battery (albeit a slow one) to charge my computer. The main reason to buy this cable is that it is an affordable solution to finally extend the battery life of your Surface Pro 3.
