This regulator looked like it had just been reconditioned, I fitted it and it added a different code to my bike, for high/low voltage P2127. It puts out a hell of a lot of 16 volts which is one of the signs of a bad regulator so I bite the bullet and buy from Harley. I'm not saying it can't work for you, but it will save you money and time.

Order from August 2nd failed and stopped working on September 23rd. Yes, it's easy to install, it worked fine for a few weeks, then it gave up and stopped working. It's better to buy a genuine OEM one, even a used one. Avoid at all costs so sad to write this I really wanted this to work, out of warranty or return window of course so I lost your winnings now that you know this thing won't work.

The voltmeter on the bike always shows 14 volts. Highway seat, all lights on or off, heated grips on or off, 14 volts. On my bike the voltmeter went up and down 12-14 volts. Bought, installed, problem solved. Last night I was walking around town, stopped at a red light and the voltage dropped to 12. I accelerate and back to 14. At speed on the freeway everything is fine.
