I installed this thing on my classic 7th gen iPod 160GB. At first I was afraid it wouldn't be the right one, but once I installed it it was perfect. The only problem was the hold switch. The mechanical part of the switch broke so I replaced my old one (easier than it sounds) and it worked great. Now I can listen to music with both ears, and the button and mic work!

It was a great find. My audio jack was broken on my iPhone Classic 160GB and it fitted perfectly. I did not install it myself, but paid professionals. Just make sure you have the "thin" version of the 160GB iPod. I had a late 2009 model, you can check your specific model on Apple's website using the serial number lookup tool. I couldn't find a replacement headphone jack labeled for use with the 80GB (5G) iPod Video but since the Classic and Video are very similar I figured I would would give it away for a few bucks shot.
