Sony MDR-RF860, MDR-RF4000, 🔋 MDR-RF970, MDR-RF970RK, MDR-RF925 Battery Replacement Review

It fits my headphones but I don't see anything on the battery to indicate it's a SONY original battery. I believe the listing should be revised to make it clear that this is not a GENUINE SONY battery. The reason I ordered this one and not one of the cheaper ones is because the description said it was a Sony battery.

This is the second battery I've ordered - the first lasted about 14 months before finally evaporating - I've recharged the old one many, many times. My new battery works just as well as my first one - if I order another one in a year or so when I need it - it just can't match in price and performance.

After replacing the old original battery with this one, it's definitely better and looks good - I can use the headphones for much longer without putting the headphones back into the charging case. I've tagged my google calendar to see how long this would last as it doesn't look like an OEM battery. So 3 stars, maybe 4 stars - not sure yet.

I should have guessed there might be a problem when I noticed that the replacement battery is noticeably lighter than the original battery. I charged it fully before using it and it lasted the whole movie. I returned it to the charging station (which works fine) and the next time I used it it failed in less than 15 minutes. The battery pickup service was fine, nothing special considering the high shipping cost and the fact that the seller is less than 10 miles from my house. This is the worst…
