I bought this to use as a backup power source when we have a power outage, which is common in Northern Maine. I use it to charge my cell phone so that we can access it from outside in an emergency. It doesn't charge as fast as my previous backup that I lost, but it seems to work well enough for my needs. It includes a charging cable but no wall plug for charging. As an aside, I love that the case (an optional item to buy) holds the backup power supply and charging cable well!

This case seemed and looked like such a good idea, except the first one I bought didn't have a tooth in the zipper; The second one I received today has a so tight zip that it's difficult to close the bag. In contrast, the tube case that I bought at the same time as the replacement rectangular case works great. You can do it right, but not consistently. I've had two bad ones in a row from this rectangular case.

I didn't think so. Each picture of this product also shows the charging box. I think I should have read the description a little better. It is at least still used as a case for my wife's diabetes testing device, but not what I expected. Well lesson learned in RTFP (read full page) **EDIT** Wife says case is good and she keeps her diabetes monitor, strips and lancets decent and happy with it as travel bag. So the silver lining to my misinterpretation is that it can still serve a good function.
