If you have a fairly sophisticated home theater system, you may find that the AV receiver's digital output and input settings are not exactly the same. This box converts optical cables to coaxial in all directions. It requires a mains plug (5V) and space to operate as it needs some ventilation (like the whole system when in a closet) but it is lightweight and can be positioned with velcro on the side of the closet. Analogue digital technology is outdated.

Does it work? Of course. However, depending on the source used, there will be some loss of quality as well as slight losses due to the conversion that this box performs. Solved my ARC problem with HDMI cable

I have a wall mounted TV above the fireplace and the HDMI cable runs from behind the wall to a receiver in my basement (35ft).
