You get what you pay for

Suitable for warm weather or as a throw blanket It won't keep you warm on its own in temperate and cold weather (50F or below), even if you wrap it in burrito style. The weave of the blanket is too loose (ventilated) and lacks volume. Hold the blanket up to the light and you will see the light coming through it. My Swiss quilt made from excess wool is almost twice as thick and doesn't let any light through. If you take this blanket with you on a hike, be sure to cover it with another blanket or

This is a great comforter for moderate temperature bedroom

This is a great comforter for moderate temperature bedroom but a bit thin for night temperature below 65 degrees. Requires an initial dry cleaning to remove loose wool hairs. There were no comments that they smell funny at first. Military blankets are a great deal and fold beautifully. They are also easy to store compared to fluffy duvets. Your wife might not like the fact that they're plain, but who cares? They are definitely durable, warm and comfortable! Ideal for camping and for small beds…

If you do this, however, you will end up spending a lot of time scrubbing the wool lint out of the washing machine and lint trap in the dryer. Other than that, I thought these thin blankets

This is a durable blanket with little maintenance and modification.

I don't usually write long reviews but in this one I tend to share what I've done with the duvet so others can do the same if they want it to be a good buy. Many people say that wool should never be washed. I think that in the case of this blanket, you need to discard the typical suggested directions and try a different route. The bedspread itself was piled with a massive amount of fluff if you will, as others have pointed out. I took a chance and used a top loading washing machine and I don't…
