Be careful. This food made my golden one sick

I have been using this food and have been happy for 9 months - suddenly something has changed. This food is making my dog sick. Either the ingredients have changed or I received 2 bad packets. I do not know what happened.

  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Minor issues

So worth the money.

My dog loves this food but don't believe her word she will eat anything. I love Royal Canin too. They put so much time, effort and research into each of their products that I know what my animals eat best and I have no intention of ever switching them to another brand.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

I love to eat! best in food

My golden loves this food. Pay attention to the nutritional recommendations on the packaging (as with most dog food packaging recommendations). When we switched to this food I fed a little according to the instructions as our puppies are older and spayed. After 6 months my Golden has gained 10lbs even though we were feeding less than recommended. After speaking to my vet we have lost some weight and he is losing the weight he has gained.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Functionality

Got 2 bad batches of food

This is the only food our Golden Doodle has ever eaten. We have tried to change it but she has a very sensitive stomach and keeps going back to Royal Canine. We were given 2 separate bags of food which made her sick. Revain is great at sending out a replacement bag, but I always get nervous when we give her food from a new bag. I'm not sure if it's a quality issue or what.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Our Golden (1.5 year old) had constant stomach problems no matter what food we tried. I ended up trying this food and it solved 100% of my digestive problems. He loves food and we haven't had a single "wet exit" incident since we switched to food. Boouut, check the weight of the food in the bag. Yes, you get 50% of the regular food for about 1.5 times the price. So this material is definitely "premium" for the price. This meal is quite expensive but I think you get what you paid for

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities

Royal Canin Golden Retriever is number one in our book

This is a great product! My 18 month old Golden had serious gastrointestinal issues and my vet suggested this. Bailey really liked this food and unlike most other kibbles we've tried in the past, she ate it. The innards of this high-quality feed have good hardness and are easy to collect. She also got a much shinier coat. I will not change their food anymore. It's a little more expensive than what I've used in the past but the vet bills were terrible until we switched to this food. Non-useful ingredients.

My Golden Nutriasource Healthy weight turkey and fish food for dogs. This worked well as it helped him lose the weight he needed to lose. I learned from my vet that grain free foods are not suitable for Goldens. He recommended this dog food to me. I ordered the bag and will try it, although after reading the reviews I'm not sure if I made the right choice. The reason is that the ingredients are harmful to the dog. The main ingredient is brown rice and chicken offal. In my other dog food, the…

This feed is about vet bills and medication!

Our golden one had hotspots and itching problems for over a year. After using several food brands, an elimination diet, prescription products and antibiotics and Apoquel, I stumbled upon this GR specific product and decided to give it a try. This food dramatically changed Bella's skin, coat and itching problems. I have seen drastic changes and she is no longer taking medication for itching. She definitely looks healthier. I like that the pellets are big so it slows down food inhalation. The…

Didn't work on my Golden with gastrointestinal issues.

I rarely complain about a product, but I need it here. I read numerous reviews ranging from great to bad and noticed that many of the bad reviews were older. Several reviews said they had digestive issues and the Royal Canin Golden Retriever was a great fit for their dog so despite the negative reviews I ordered the smallest bag possible at £17 for almost $50. I spoke to my vet and we decided to slowly feed my Golden by adding 12 mouthfuls of food to his homemade morning meal over the course of
