Royal Canin Puppy Chihuahua Food Review

I bought this because a friend and vets recommended it. My Chi pup liked it. However, I've started to research more and the truth is the ingredients are not of the highest quality. In addition, considering the quantity and the price, the price is clearly too high. I'm testing Taste of the Wild dog food (puppy formula). My Chi loves this brand! I bought a 5 lb bag for $13 at a local store compared to this 2 lb bag for $20+. I want my pup to have the best and I am not happy with Royal Canin.

I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on EVERY type of dog food, wet, dry, branded and cheap, and after many failures I saw this and thought it was it worth a try and my SUPER picky eaters love it! What I don't understand is that it's literally nothing more than these tiny simple granules, and they don't even have an odor. My little 6 week old chihuahua Koko ate wieners because her mom's owners just gave her more. Super unhealthy for dogs and puppies. My dogs have been eating Chihuahua Royal Canin for a long time. Found out my puppies have liver problems. The alternative number grows. I put them on the Demarin. The numbers kept growing. Feed changed to Halo Small Breed. The numbers are going down. I did an analysis for bile acids which have also returned to normal. It is made in China and contains meat flour. Teacup Chi Puppy loves this food! and the puppy is wet. The breeder uses this brand and we wanted to keep it. Reading the ingredients, they all seem like junk food or foods that can cause allergies, but so far so good.
