Easy to clean as everything is metal and I put both parts in the dishwasher. The cutting tip is weak and thin and everything seems connected. So if it breaks, everything ends up in the trash.

Butter cutter works fine at the right oil temperature I had to try a little but it will work. I cut out small squares from the design paper on which each stroke will be superimposed. Not bad for classy dining

Haven't used a razor before but it's great! I've read reviews of other butter cutters that were brittle and broke when the butter was too cold (hard). If you have to soften the butter before slicing, cooling it again will cause it to stick together. That's not what it is about. Not only does it slice nice and cold butter, but in a pinch have I even used it to quickly slice a block of cheddar cheese? I clean like a dream with warm water and detergent. I am delighted with this wonderful find.
