This clip doesn't work on my desk. If your dining table, like mine, has wood paneling underneath, this clip won't work for you. The clamp won't go all the way because that piece of wood is blocking its path. The clip only goes halfway. Please check the table below before purchasing this product. UPDATE September 2016 It's been over two years since my original review and we've been RV regulars ever since so these clips have gotten a LOT of use! We've used them over and over again to attach a vinyl tablecloth to a picnic table at various campgrounds. They have NEVER let us down and continue to be as durable as the first time we used them.
