I have a lot of these containers. I love her. But now it is difficult to find original tops without a steam outlet. Some idiot redesigned the solid lids to include a vapor valve that can come loose, break, and that's just a bad idea. Do you want ventilation? It is enough to open the old cover. Now I'm looking for an old design on eBay because I won't be buying this design.

I've been using this type of Rubbermaid product for a long time so I'm happy with the quality what I'm not happy with is the quantity. We received 8 containers but only 7 lids! The purpose of this purchase was to use these cooling and freezing containers during this extremely serious virus outbreak. Hopefully Rubbermaid will ship the correct item once they are contacted but I won't hold my breath.

These are great containers for taking food to work. The vented lid makes warming up very easy, the only downside is that the bowls get dirty easily. It doesn't matter whether the sauce is red or brown, it discolors and the stain can hardly be removed. It fades over time. That's why I gave 3 stars. I have a set that didn't get dirty, but after many years the lids became thin and had to be replaced. I wish Rubbermaid would go back to the old style mugs that didn't have stains.

These are the same containers I always use, but getting them with vented lids for essentially $2 each was a GREAT price! I happily picked her up when I saw the deal. I have been using these containers for over 10 years and I really like their quality. The only bad luck I have with them is dropping them when they freeze, of course they will break then. MUCH better than using cheap quality memory that needs to be replaced annually - I still have some of the original packaging I bought 10 years…

I use Rubbermaid storage boxes almost exclusively. They are inexpensive, durable, close well and only have a few cap sizes for a few volumes. However, I don't like vented lids because I never microwave plastic and it's too easy to accidentally open the vent due to placement. I also prefer the standard red (or pink, purple, etc.) plain caps over the gray and clear caps. The gray ones don't snap onto other lids, making storage a little less convenient.

Bought these containers to replace our old Rubbermaid containers of the same size. I saw a few reviews that showed melted containers, but I needed new ones and liked the look of the new lids. Lids work fine. and i really like her. The containers are dishwasher safe but they are stained and very ugly looking! Worst of all, the containers MELT IN THE MICROWAVE!
