Fan spins in wrong direction

This is a replacement for one of the original fans that came with our hybrid camper. In the original, the fans spin clockwise (toward the switches), in this one, the fan spins counterclockwise (away from the switches). On the way, spinning doesn't blow very much. I'll probably rebuild the DC fan motor to spin properly to blow the front of the fan. This is how the blades are arranged. It annoys me that I have to do this so I'll only give it 1 star.

Annoying rattling noise

I bought 3 of these 4 years ago, one for each bed in my hybrid trailer. Like many others, I need white fan noise to sleep, especially in the camper. They all still work after all these years, but from day one they all make an annoying rattling noise, like something is dangling inside or something. It's so annoying it ruins the nice white noise that helps me sleep. I wish I could find a brand that doesn't, but so far everything I've tried has done the same thing.

Pros
  • Good product for the price

Design needs improvement

Fan and light work. The clips that attach to Shepard's hooks are too tight and need flexing to work. The rubber of the clip is of poor quality. What bothered me the most was that the mounting bolts holding the bracket have a nut behind them and are not accessible without disassembling the entire unit. I know things are loose in the trailer but they tighten easily. It should be a threaded hole. If the fan and light weren't of good quality I would give it an A.

No ventilation complaints

We have a twin berth hybrid so we bought two of these fans/lights last year. They move air efficiently. We camped at Disney World Fort Wilderness in August (yes, AUGUST). It was hot and muggy outside, but the camper, including the two bunk beds, stayed fairly cool with the air conditioning and fans running. In fact, we slept with heavy blankets. The fan produces white noise, which is very convenient since the husband is snoring. The light works well too. I like to read before bed. They are…

White Noise for RV Parts and Accessories

I bought two of these for my pop up camper. One of the two had a problem and didn't work after the first proper use, but Revain replaced it with no problems and the replacement works perfectly. The small fan actually moves more air than I expected, so this thing is great. We used them on a trip to Mount Rushmore and a trip to Wisconsin. An unexpected but great side effect for fans is the white noise they generate. When we have both fans running, you hardly hear anything from the outside world…
