The lid doesn't close tightly, this is outside where the weather can ruin the connection, maybe this was just an unfortunate fall.

Haven't installed it yet but looks solid and will do what it's supposed to do. There's not much detail here, so I'm looking forward to using it for years to come.

In one photo the connector is gold-colored, in the other it is not. Standard chrome plugs were included. When used outdoors, gold connectors are essential to limit rust and corrosion. The package also claims gold connectors.

The door is held closed by the pressure of rotating curved plastic against flat plastic. In order to function as intended, the assembler must disassemble and adjust the rounded plastic on the cover by cutting or grinding. With this setting, the device works, however, the manufacture of this device needs to be modified for most installers who are not familiar with poor quality products.
