Ideal for my application

Purchased to sand a large plastered section of drywall and to polish old wood furniture. Works as it should. I've used this several times for a total of several hours of work and does what I need. I've never used any other grinder so I can't speak to the difference in size or weight compared to others. What I can tell is that it wasn't an excise tax. The battery lasts about 30 minutes for my regular battery, and my larger battery lasts over an hour.

A good fine grinder for small projects if you already have Ryobi batteries

The battery sticks out at the back so when working on a flat surface with large Ryobi batteries it leans back and the surface with the edge sands off the sandpaper. be very careful The battery life is also very short. It drains Ryobi batteries faster than any other tool I've seen, in 5-10 minutes depending on battery size. As long as you hold it firmly and keep it moving, the results are excellent. I've polished an entire dining table using just this grinder as my only tool and it's turned outโ€ฆ

Convenience: Power tools

I really like the convenience of a cordless cordless grinder as I always need it for my job which requires quite a bit of manoeuvring in the yard or behind the house. It's great to be able to just pick up a grinder and get the job done without worrying about finding a fork and extension cord nearby. I've already spent about 20 hours on it in a very short time. I've even used it with buffing pads to polish and wax my car. The results are amazing. I highly recommend this as a buffer with 5 or 6โ€ฆ
