Sabrent Mini Mount Under BK MACM Review

The only issue I had was that the bracket came with very cheap aluminum screws and I had to replace them with store bought ones. I thought it was an accident as I pre-drilled a hole for the screw and when using a screwdriver the head of the screw broke off. (I laughed and thought that must be my incredible strength!) I had to use some vises to unscrew the half-buried screws. Then the head of the second screw broke off. I would pay the manufacturer another euro for decent screws.

I have an old 2010 Mac Mini (unibody with slot drive) that I use for streaming music and radio access to online parts sources and PDFs for projects use the garage. Really nice job. Ease of installation. Sturdy, well supported and frees up desk space. Installation Tip * Before installation, mark the screw tightening locations. Depending on the surface, you may need a drill. My table is tough but I only had to hammer in a thumbtack to start the holes and the rest was easy. I haven't installed this yet but I made sure my Mac Mini 2018 fits without hindrance. It fits with ports up or down. Bare metal is a bit heavier than I expected (okay). The mounting slots are neatly countersunk. No sharp edges. It is exactly as it appears with beautiful packaging. I'll probably add a few coats of black spray paint and a strip of thin foam to the hilt before installing.

Some people have complained about the mounting of this item under the table and I can understand that. However, the alternative use of this item was not mentioned in the item description. As you can see in the picture, since the mount comes with 75mm and 100mm pre-drilled VESA holes, it can be mounted on a WALI monitor stand (recommended). So I went with the under desk option and it works great for me. I modified it like the previous reviewer and cut off two tabs on the side just because I needed clearance to put it where I wanted it in my case. Not sure why they put them there in the first place? Some have complained about the mounting screws and I can confirm they are utter nonsense. I drilled pilot holes and even cleaned one with a screwdriver, tried it with a screwdriver and got the same result. So buy some if you choose this

Wow! As I sit here writing this review, I couldn't be happier. I just installed my new Apple Mini M1 under my desk. This assembly tool was absolutely the perfect accessory for the task.
