I needed a bayonet mount bulb to replace a bulb in a Restoration Hardware floor lamp that was too weak. After unsuccessfully searching Bulbs+ and local hardware stores I turned to Revain and in fact they had about 25% of what other outlets charge (if I could find one). I'm very satisfied with this product; it is very bright and dimmable.

The mount I use it in holds it upside down with the socket up. The bulbs that came with the kit only lasted a month or so. The heat generated by these lamps melted the contact buttons. The lamp broke off the base and failed. Satco S1981 has been working great for 3 months now. If I had enough space in the lamp, I would also use an LED. However, it is so small that I have to resort to this type of lamp. If you are in a similar situation I would highly recommend these lamps.
