Sauder Beginnings 9-Cubby Storage Organizer: Compact and Stylish Cinnamon Cherry Finish Review

I haven't bought one item from Sauder but bought 4. The first one I'm trying to assemble (which isn't that easy) goes horribly wrong. The part marked "E" must have holes for the pins. Holes were only in one piece. I almost fully assembled it but found that I couldn't connect the two separate pieces because there weren't any holes for it. waste of time! No point opening other boxes only to find a bigger mess to return.

I have assembled a lot of furniture but this one proved to be a problem as the shelves were not perfectly aligned as required for this product. It also tends to tip over easily, but doesn't come with a wall mount to fix it in place. The biggest problem, however, was that the size of the boxes made it impossible to find suitable storage cubes. The holes are 10" x 10" and I could NOT find ANY of that size at Revain, Walmart or even the company that sells the shelves.

I have bought about 4-5 Sauder products in the last 6 years. The instructions are quite clear, but the device looks cheaper. To hide the exposed screw heads, Sauder includes a wood grain decal. You can break. They don't stick well. And most of the time they look like shit. Come on, Sauder, you can do that, and you've done better in the past. I ordered 2 of these bookshelves. After collecting the first one, I am sending the second one back for the reasons above - the cheap kind.

SO DISAPPOINTED! Bought this for our boys room along with navy fabric baskets. Should have read the reviews because just like the others the standard baskets DO NOT fit! Also, the instructions say you don't need a screwdriver, but that's not true. You definitely need to use a cordless screwdriver otherwise this is very difficult to assemble. I'm trying to figure out how to return this item or at least get a partial refund. Pregnant and very disappointed with this purchase!

I mean it's ok I guess. I have recently purchased 3 items from the Sauder New Beginnings line and each time has been more disappointing than the last. Aloha Love Sauder Affordable furniture for years to come! 4 stars. 3-1/2 stars are not allowed here. There are things I like and things I don't like. 1. It's smaller than I expected. it appears to be about 70% or 80% the size of the ClosetMaid version.
