It is definitely dark blue. Not royal blue. A very nice piece with a beautiful finish. At first it smells strongly of varnish. I am very sensitive to these smells and am seriously considering returning the product. However, I used my air purifier for a few days and it dissipated. I leave the doors open to let the air out completely. My friend assembled the goods in 20 minutes with no problems.

Took me 5 hours to assemble and cursed a lot. I followed the instructions exactly. A door was crooked for about a week but magically straightened out. The bodice wasn't cut properly and the holes didn't line up without serious effort and wiggling. I ended up having to use a drill to finish attaching the back panel because the entire top row of screw holes was completely missing. This is a present for my wife. The item arrived well packaged but the hinge holes in the right side door were drilled from the wrong side of the door. This was supposed to be a surprise gift but now I probably have to wait another 14 days to get a new door because that's how long I've been waiting for the cabinet. This stand is amazing for the price. The only problem I had with the assembly (which I did myself) was the hinges. And finally it's because when looking at the pictures in the instructions I misunderstood which part was enlarged, so I put the hinges from back to front. This cabinet is beautiful. It was well packaged, each item was covered with a thin polystyrene and styrofoam sheet (rather eco-friendly materials) that protected it well during transit. I am very happy with this beautiful locker. A few things to note for future buyers: 1. The body color is black-blue (almost like the color of a crow's feather) under normal lamp light. Under direct sunlight or with a flash, you can see blueness (note the difference in the image with and without the flash).
