My 8 year old daughter wore this pair of shoes (in black leather) to school every day 7 hours a day for four months and I am pleased to report that they are by far the most durable of all are school shoes that we tried. I usually buy nicer shoes for school (e.g. Pediped, Jumping Jack, etc.). Our school's playground has fine gravel and is the only shoe that has stood the test of time.
