You can rip or cut them, they come in almost any width, although we prefer narrower ones. We make greeting cards out of it, my mother-in-law and I. I bought this double sided tape for a project I wanted to work on. I had to temporarily glue the years to the leather case before I could sew it. The tape was great for the job and made my life so stress free for the five jackets I had to sew onto the leather felt sleeves. If you've ever sewn leather, you only get one chance to get it right.
