The wax is good but the wick is terrible

The wick burns very quickly and does not absorb any wax at all, therefore the flame dies out, ash drips constantly etc. The only way to use this wax is to use it as a wax without a wick . It has a large amount of built in fibers that make it very flexible and durable once applied, so the finished product is good once you figure out how to get it.

Pros
  • Contents: 12 pcs. Sealing wax with wick, dark blue
Cons
  • Discontinued

The wax is good, the wick leaves soot in the seal

The color was excellent a true bright white perfect for my project. I had problems with the wick as it left black soot in the wax. I ended up cutting the wax into chunks and melting it in a spoon. I made prints on parchment paper and peeled them off after they cooled. Added some melted wax to the backs and they didn't move after I placed them.

Pros
  • Flexible: This sealing wax is flexible. It will not crack or break like traditional wax. This works very well.
Cons
  • High price

Nice print!

I like this sealing wax because it provides a clean seal that will not stick to the seal. I used a strip of red ribbon under the stamp and a gold ink pad to add an extra touch. People love getting standard postcards with a wax seal and that really makes my letters stand out - in this case they were for business customers. I will buy them in other colors as well. Bravo!

Pros
  • Quantity of stamps: Approx. 5-9 stamps can be made from one stick. 60-108 stamps per box
Cons
  • Not sure
