I wouldn't call these markers, they're like felt tip pens with a felt tip you press on and a shaker ball inside. They're not an outline nib per se either, it's a single nib, but the metallic ink is a thin line and the color almost wraps around it as you write. I can't imagine anything cheaper or worse. (flatter?) The handles are made of plastic, no wonder. They seem so light I can't imagine there's more than a few drops of ink in each one. And the way these pens work allows you to quickly run up a small supply of ink. Some pens arrived with the front tip removed. All of the pens started pouring a puddle of ink into the spot where I started to write before settling on a line that varied wildly in thickness with even the slightest change in pressure…

My first warning about this set is that the markers are very difficult to use. Even if you follow the instructions to the letter and are extremely careful with the handles, splashes are almost inevitable, which can ruin the entire project and quickly drain the handles. Opening each marker requires holding the tip VERTICAL and then gently pressing with a finger to activate the ink. Once the tip is inked (still held vertically) the pen can be used to write, but the tip should NEVER be pressed…
