Easy and Convenient RFID Reader

As a result of using this RFID reader I found that it was incredibly easy to add proximity detection to my project. The module is compact and easily fits onto the top of my Arduino board, so it doesn't take up much space in my project box... It reads RFID cards and bracelets quickly and accurately, and I've had no issues with connectivity. However, the module doesn't come with any detailed instructions, so users may need to do a bit of research to figure out how to get started..

Pros
  • Easy to integrate into Arduino projects; fast and accurate RFID reading
Cons
  • Lacks instructions for beginners

Very Short Range Very Verbose Output

Very Short Range. How almost in touch before reading it. About 1mm? It sends two lines of text, the first line contains the card type and some useless information. The second line is the tag ID but with text. Really makes more work for you. If I knew the range and the oddly long way to tell you the tag id I wouldn't buy the device. Other than that I think it works.

Pros
  • Security and Surveillance
Cons
  • High Price
