Good for climbing, not for controlling humidity

While I know some people love these, I've had some issues this growing season. The "moss" on the pole almost seems hydrophobic? Even when I water the moss pole directly, it almost always feels dry within the hour. It is definitely something that helps my plants climb when they're attached, but not something that helps control the humidity. The things I do really like about this pack is that it comes with so many. You can also stack them together when your plant gets taller and taller, which is…

Pros
  • Patio, Lawn & Garden
Cons
  • Moss poles may not blend in well with certain garden styles or aesthetics

Just what I needed!

Nice moss poles! Recently my lovely grandmother gifted me an indoor plant she had grown for me. It is a nice lush green plant but it just looked messy with the large leaves hanging all over the pot and took a lot of space on the ground. These stacking poles are just what I needed! These moss poles are large, thick and sturdy. Easy to use and to apply. I lined the plant along the poles and now the plant is now standing high instead of spilling all around the sides and is overall much neater in…

Pros
  • Good quality. Should last a long time but green ties that come with it are useless. Use twine instead.
Cons
  • May not be sturdy enough to support heavier plants

Not impressed and it’s dimensions are different

Not impressed. The material is not good. It wasn’t absorbed that much moisture when I listed them. Also it’s diameter is wayyyyy too big. I expect smaller polls from looking at the pictures on the ads.I also did try to connect them together and they won’t connect each other well. If you connect them and lift or move them around, there’s a chance to disturb the roots. Not impressed

Pros
  • Great for monstera!
Cons
  • Can be difficult to install and anchor firmly in soil

Must pose beyond expectations

I’ve ordered these twice they were beyond my expectations and as my plant grows I can just add another moss pole absolutely beautiful and easy and affordable

Pros
  • Considerate for You - The sturdy wood tip allows it to insert into soil easily, providing strong support for the plant extension. In addition to coir moss pole, we also comes with 12 pcs adjustable plant ties, securing plants to coir moss pole without damage it, to help your plants grow faster.
Cons
  • May attract unwanted insects or pests to garden area

Good till it gets tall, then flimsy

I have to agree with previous reviews. If you are staking a small plant you'll be fine but for a plant with any height to it, such as the Monstera Deliciosa I bought them for, you'll want to go another route. The steak doesn't go far enough into the soil to provide any real support. My Monstera is already toppling from the weight, and it's only been a few hours.

Pros
  • Most needed for climbing plants - Are you growing pothos, Money Plant, Monstera or other climbing plants? When leaves and stalks are really heavy, they are pushed to the side. They are soft and no support? Use our Coir Moss Pole to help you solve the problem!
Cons
  • Moss poles may not last as long as other plant support options, such as metal or wooden stakes

A little thin but otherwise good plant poles

These are well made, they nest until each other nicely, but they are pretty thin. I would use them to stake Syngonium or Pothos or other lighter weight plants. Maybe a juvenile monstera but I think it would quickly grow too heavy for these particular poles. The plus side of them being thinner is that you can use them in smaller pots to start training your plants earlier. And they look pretty!

Pros
  • Length Can be Superimposed - Whether you plant small leaf vine or the other tall thin plant, If you feel that one piece moss pole is not enough to support, insert the second tip into the top of the first to extend the length.
Cons
  • Installation may damage delicate plant roots

Good 16in-tall support. Retains water.

My leafy monstera philodendrons need a lot of support. They grow big and the stems get fairly thick, but they just flop over. These six 16-inch tall mossy posts are a good solution. They hold a little moisture when i mist them, and the monstera cling with little tendrils, so i still have to "train” them a bit. But once they get the idea, they hang on. Of course this is a new set of supports for my growing jungle, so right now they are just stuck deep in the soil, waiting for the plants i strung

Pros
  • Attractive design
Cons
  • Require regular cleaning to prevent buildup of moss or algae

Great for climbing plants

Shorter than I was expecting. I'm sure the dimensions were given correctly but I guess I thought it applied to each section and not the collective height. I used them all and they look nice with my plants pinned to them.

Pros
  • Great perfect for what I needed
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to other plant support options

Good value and quality!

I was happy with the quality, the dowel is very sturdy and is well wrapped. I was able to stake two of my plants immediately. Do ensure you soak all fibers well before use and water them consistently. It’d have cost more in materials if I had done it myself.

Pros
  • Sustainable materials: Made with eco-friendly coir, these support sticks are an environmentally conscious choice for plant enthusiasts. The organic and biodegradable material is a sustainable alternative to synthetic support systems, contributing to a healthier and cleaner planet
Cons
  • Moss poles may not be reusable if coir material deteriorates too quickly

Easy to use, life saver for my monstera plant

I have a big size monstera plant that needed to be repotted, needed some structure work in order to grow properly. I used these moss poles for my monstera plant. My plant is happier and healthier with moss pole support. If you have a monstera plant or any other plants that need support to grow, moss poles are very useful. Maturing plants will need the support of a moss covered pole that they can climb. If treated well, monstera can live for years, and grow to well over ten feet tall. Overall…

Pros
  • Natural and Harmless Materials - Our moss pole is made of natural coir moss fiber, which is environmentally and wear-resistant, help plants maintain the water and nutrition for growing better. The wide wooden base for anchoring it in the soil keeps the pole steady.
Cons
  • Coir material may stain or discolor over time

Just like it says! - my new review

Very easy to use, love the included plant cords that come & hold your plant against the poles. Just with the steak itself to go into the soil was a tad longer to help keep the poles straight. All & all these saved my over grown Monstera!

Pros
  • Adjustable ties
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all types of climbing plants

These Moss pokes are essential to use for some plants.

What a difference it makes to use a moss pole or poles to help "stand up” your plants. I’ve had this same plant for over 40 years and it has never presented itself as well as it does using the pokes. The sturdiness helps new plants get started with growth as well!

Pros
  • Plant Cages & Supports
Cons
  • Plant ties may not be long enough for larger stems

Build The Poles As Plants Grow

I like these moss poles because you can create the size pole you need. As the plant grows, I can add additional height saving a lot of time.

Pros
  • Plant Support Structures
Cons
  • Require additional storage space when not in use

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great price & easy to use

I made my own before discovering these. Mine weren’t attractive at all. These are actually cheaper than mine. Great price, easy to use, and look aesthetically pleasing. I keep buying more.

Pros
  • I love the ability to add additional poles directly on top!
Cons
  • Not suitable for indoor use due to potential mess and moisture issues

Revainrating 5 out of 5

aesthetically pleasing - good enough

I'm currently using this for my beans and Brussel sprouts, and I'll also be using them for my cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes.Easy to use/ just stick them in and wait for the plant to grow up around it.

Pros
  • Good pole for my little home garden!
Cons
  • Coir material may break down and deteriorate over time

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality for the price

They seem really good and the best price for how many you get. The only downside is they aren’t exactly even and are a little wobbly when stacked, but it isn’t too noticeable. No smell or mold in the week I’ve had them up.

Pros
  • Gardening & Lawn Care
Cons
  • Require regular maintenance to keep moss and coir material from drying out or becoming too moist
