Not as it seems

The dress in this pattern looks like a pretty A-line dress, but it is NOT! The clothing sizes of SMALL are 40-42.5-49.5 - actually quite roomy, which is why I gave it 5 stars for comfort. There are 3 cuts and 2 lengths so it can be said that this is a universal pattern.

Pros
  • Number of Looks Included: 5
Cons
  • Brief Instructions

Very easy to follow, especially for beginners.

This is a very simple circuit. I've already made four dresses out of it - two with sleeves and two without. I added pockets in the side seams because women need pockets! I even sewed a sleeveless nightgown from this pattern out of thin cotton fabric. Sizing is a bit large, but that's easily remedied with tailoring.

Pros
  • Designed in the UK, Made in the USA
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

I have successfully sewn a dress before!

A few months ago I bought a sewing machine and wanted to try sewing clothes. This template was the perfect choice for a beginner. I completed the project very quickly. Literally half a day later. My clothes turned out great, just a little too big. I would have been better if I had gone down a size, but that's my downside. I plan to make more dresses from this pattern. Very stylish and very versatile dresses.

Pros
  • Available fabrics: washed cotton, cotton and cotton blends, silk and silks, double georgette, viscose; not suitable for explicit diagonals; for pile, shading or single faced fabrics, use with pile gauges/layouts
Cons
  • Broken
