Working in Aruba Instant-On 1930

Iperf3 9.22 Gb/s results received from client (45ft Cat6) and host through my switch. The client NIC uses ASUS XG-C100C, the host uses Mellanox ConnectX-3. It gets pretty hot, but that seems to be the case with these 10GBase-T transceivers. Just let it cool (or put on gloves) if you need to take it off, it's not difficult.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

Works with QNAP QSW-1208-8C-US

Works great with my QNAP QSW-1208-8C-US 10Gb switch. Plug-n-Play on the SFP+ port. Pretty much the maximum total throughput of a 10 Gigabit connection (9.40 Gbps with overhead). At a later date we will update the test for long-term reliability.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Works with Netgear X10 R9000

Purchased to use the Netgear X10 R9000 SFP+ slot as a WAN port for internet. Has been working fine for a week. Use the current latest router firmware version 1.0.5.28. The speed test on the QoS setup page shows 1405.82 downloads and 41.79 downloads connected to an Arris S33 with Xfinity 1200MB.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Not all fit

Works with Dell 5524P

I can confirm that it works with a Dell Powerconnect 5524P switch in the SFP+ port. No setup required. I managed to connect 2.5Gb/s to the 2.5Gb/s port on my Asus AX11000 router. I look forward to adding another port to the remaining port to provide a 10Gbps connection between the computer room and the electrical workbench in the other room.

Pros
  • understandably even down to the old
Cons
  • bits

Picky on my setup

I'm giving 4 stars because I'm not entirely sure if the modules are to blame, it could be an incompatibility or other hardware related to my setup. working after several transplants, maybe i did something to get them working but i'm not sure what it was at the moment. I use the same module on both ends. 1 on my Mikrotik CRS317 and 1 on my Mellanox ConnectX-3 (Dell OEM if that matters) connected with a 75ft Cat7 cable. I've given up trying to figure out what the problem was. There is, and I hope

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Cables shorter than others
