Sigma just gets it right x 3

This was the final part of my completion of the Sigma trio (16mm, 30mm and 56mm). The other two exceeded my expectations and this one did not disappoint. This is almost 85mm at full frame and makes for such a long portrait length. 1.4 works great in low light and creates a creamy, oh what good bokeh. If you have Sony's framing sensors, you'll fall in love with this lens even more. As much as I want to go full frame, these lenses keep driving me crazy.

Pros
  • Big selection

Very sharp! - Accessories

This lens is awesome! With my first prime lens, the image quality really stands out compared to the standard lens! I don't really need the extra items the seller included with this purchase, but will use them anyway. The filters fit on the lens and the camera bag is actually really nice and small. Perfect fit for Sony A6000. I would recommend this lens to all Sony users. Excellent bokeh, sharp photos. It's fast, so the lack of image stabilization doesn't matter. I like!

  • Pretty

The best return on your money!

Received this kit today. I just wanted a 56mm Sigma but saw this kit with lots of cool stuff, faster shipping and about the same price. I'm glad I did. Digital Gogo really got him hooked. All Altura content delivers quality with a 64GB Sandisk Ultra card. I haven't used the lens enough to write a review, but I like what I've seen of it so far. If you are looking for a Sigma 56mm F1.4 lens, just buy this kit! It's worth it even if you only used 1 item in the set and it's all pretty decent stuff.

BEST PROTRAIT LENS FOR SONY APSC CAMERA

The SIGMA 56mm f1.4 DC DN is a very sharp prime lens. It's not too big and not too heavy. It's better than any native Sony lens. In my opinion this is the best lens for an APSC camera. Distortion on this lens is well controlled and colors are better than any other Sony lens. It has weather protection and is very good in low light conditions. I haven't had any issues with the autofocus yet (it's a bit slow according to some reviewers). I received the lens from Revain seven weeks ago and only…

DOF is insanely good. for accessories

Price? Are you kidding me? This is an amazing lens! I just got it in the mail and wanted to share my thoughts. First of all this is a budget lens so I wasn't expecting too much when it comes to build quality but my goodness the image quality is just brilliant. One thing I love is DOF (depth of field). The depth of field on this lens is fantastic for the price. This is my first prime lens for this camera. No regret. It was between 30mm or that for portraits. While I don't have a comparison to…

Pros
  • Noble design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The lens I use most on my Sony a6500 and a6300 is the Sony/Zeiss 16- 70mm f4. This Sigma f1.4 lens gives me 3 stops more light in a very small and light body. As with my Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens, I prefer to use DMF (Direct Manual Focus) on my Sony cameras when shooting really wide open at f1.4 to be able to zoom in quickly. in the viewfinder to confirm focus accurately. I'm delighted that Sigma is offering these excellent lenses for Sony APS-C cameras, so I don't have to lug around the size and…
