Works perfectly. It's also easy to change.

I love this drive adapter because it can be mounted any way. I decided to fit the 2.5" drives to one end and cut off about an inch of the adapter so it doesn't stick out over the CPU fan in this very cramped Micro-ITX case. Now with larger 3.5" drives. the drive is missing, the adapter breaks, the processor runs cooler, the drive draws about 1/4 watt of a 3.5" drive, and everything runs cooler. At this price point, made of plastic and with so many mounting holes, it's easy to customize to your…

Pros
  • Something above
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great for saving space or when you need 2.5 " bays

It's very convenient to have two 2.5" drives in a 3.5". -Shaft to be able to accommodate. The design is cheap, but it serves its purpose perfectly. It's been in my setup for a few months now and I haven't had any issues and my SSDs run very fast as expected.

Pros
  • Testers got high marks for support and durability
Cons
  • Exterior

Decent adapter: Hard drive accessory

Item received as ordered but even good screws were included which was a nice touch. The adapter itself is plastic and may not be the strongest or best conductor of heat, but it does the job well.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Installed hard drive

Sturdy construction but hard drive installation. I gave up using the lower shaft because it was impossible to tighten the screws without special tools. The top position required a lot of patience and would have been a lot easier if there were rails to put the drive on.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Ideal for upgrading your Imac 2010 SSD

This adapter was used to install a Samsung Evo 500GB SSD in a mid 2010 Imac. I had to flip the bay to keep it from sticking out and getting in the way of screen replacement, but this worked well since the cables were already oriented that way.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Appearance

Made from fairly cheap plastic

Made from fairly cheap plastic. I have several of these and each one has at least one cleaned screw hole. I haven't had this problem with any of the steel drive bay adapters that I own.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
