Excellent tripod, very strong and light

Excellent tripod, very strong and light. Fits perfectly on my Nikon D7200 and folds very compact. The rotating legs take a bit of getting used to as it takes some effort to loosen, but once you get the hang of it it's fine.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Less stable than I thought.

After reviewing this tripod on the Sirui website, I thought it would be more stable given the specs, but instead I found the tripod to be a little wobbly and I found the center column to be too wobbly was. Play from side to side when dressing. It seems like a good product for light loads in light winds but not for my use.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Solid gait support and back/shoulder relief for tall users!

My new Sirui waterproof carbon fiber tripod arrived early. I've just used it outdoors for the first time and am impressed with the stability it offers. I have a fairly heavy pan/tilt that supports a 2.8mm lens and it was solid. I didn't buy the Sirui for its water resistance, but for its maximum headroom without the extended B-pillar. I'm 6ft 3in and can use the viewfinder and live view without bending over. The ability to flatten Sirui for use in macros was another priority, and the W-2204…

Really good, well made

Finally a great carbon fiber tripod that is second to none at a very reasonable price. Rigid, powerful, high, flexible with a center column for underhand shots. everything i was looking for Has held up well for the past 3 years. I really don't understand the other reviews complaining about the stability of this tripod, nor do I understand the 'broken' photos and reviews. I'm sorry that "you" broke your tripod, but with normal handling and use the thing is very well made. Again, I've had mine…

Good, not great! in camera and photo

This is it. It's not as stable and durable as my very similar Manfrotto, which I'll come back to when I send Sirui on a tripod for my deck. I understand the need for a "rock bag" hook better now that I have one. In principle, the "stepless" adjustment of the legs when shooting at height is very comfortable, plus. That still doesn't make up for the fact that, in my opinion, Sirui just isn't a stable platform like Manfrotto. I think you are good. Put in a good "ball head" and you've got a nice…

All round perfect.

Fantastic tripod! I got this to replace my 23 year old bow aluminum tripod. This is much larger and much lighter. That's the perfect height for me. I'm 6ft tall and with a medium sized ball head my DSLR is right at eye level with the center column not popping out at all. I didn't even attach a center column and the tripod will sit very low. Very durable, can't beat the waterproof feet. To be honest I haven't found any cons yet. Update: A year later I still really like this tripod. The only…
