The quality of the strap appears to be good but it does not hold the advertised size on the wrist. The bracelet loosens and the band falls off - this happens several times a day. As a result, I had to buy Garmin straps as a replacement. Wouldn't recommend it.

I like the wide range of colors but whatever material it's made of, it immediately turns dirty and black. Definitely worth the extra money to order light bars directly through Garmin. I have them and have kept them for a year with no trace of dirt or stains. They begin to discolor and become dirty within a few days. Very dissatisfied with it.

The rubber clasp on my original Vivifit broke so I bought this kit to replace the straps. The paint on the metal clasp has started to peel off (see photo). It's under the wrist so I'm probably the only one noticing. The clasp comes off more often than the original strap, but the clasp does the job and keeps the strap on the wrist. I removed the rubber clasp from this product and attached it to my old bracelet. I was bothered by the peeling paint on the clasp. Otherwise not a bad replacement.

The material is softer than the Garmin OEM strap and as mentioned in other posts the color of the metal clasp wears off inside from a week. I found that to snap it back into place once a day, I had to squeeze the rubber band around the edge of the vivofit; It doesn't detach enough to make the Garmin fall out, but it's aesthetically striking that it's out of place. This replacement band is the closest thing to an OEM band I've found and I've tried many. The rubber material feels very similar, if not identical, to the original factory strap material. With other replacement bands, the silicone material attracts lint and dust; On them, the texture is smoother (almost waxy) than the real thing. It's also slightly stiffer than silicone.
