If you are looking for a cartilage earring or for a child this is perfect. It was secure in my ears all week and didn't snag on masks which is why I bought it. However, if you are an adult, it is most likely too small for your earlobes. My hair is just too small. 12mm was too big and 8mm too small. I can't fault the company for being too small! These earrings are very easy to put on and take off. It's a shame I didn't take a closer look at the measurements as the photos don't accurately reflect the earrings. I was looking for a smaller caliber (I ordered 6mm) and didn't realize that the part that goes in your ear is 18g, the temple is 12g so a bit chunkier than I expected and the outer diameter is 8mm.
