They make good Blu-ray disks

I bought them because they said they were 50gb and when I put them in my machine it says they are 25gb, not sure why or if I am doing something wrong. other than that I am happy with them.

Pros
  • Does the job it was designed to do.
Cons
  • One of the major cons of this product is that it may not be compatible with all Blu-ray devices, which could limit its usability for some customers

My first package of SmartBuy 50GB BD were mostly bricked coasters as I struggled to learn the ins and outs of Toast 16 Pro and Toast 17 Pro. The errors included Buffer Underruns during 1x speed burns and excessive compression due to my attempt to burn more hours of video than this capacity supports. I do not blame the media for the ruined blanks.I also tested printing on the disc on an Epson Artison 730 inkjet printer and they accepted ink decently and match closely the intended image. I was…

Pros
  • Great products A++
Cons
  • Expensive: At a high price point, this product may not be accessible to all customers, especially those who are looking for a more cost-effective option for their disc printing needs

4 coasters in a row, tossed the rest

I should preface this by saying I've burned well over 5000 discs before, I'm hardly a novice. I tried burning the first two discs with an LG burner, the second two with an ASUS burner. No dice either time. I even checked firmware on both drives, no issues. I've used many different brands of disc, from Optical Quantum, Plexdisc, Verbatim, Memorex, and TDK. I've never seen a solid failure rate like this before.I typically buy very expensive Verbatim DL BD-R's, and was looking to save some money…

Pros
  • One unburnable but the rest burned without trouble.
Cons
  • Limited Shelf Life

very handy for small projects

fixed a computer disc drive that best buy said could not be fixed. works great now. Saved over $1,000 in software. Fragile.

Pros
  • Seems to be what they are being sold as - I'm happy with them and plan to buy some more.
Cons
  • Fragile
