📷 PENTAX SMC 50mm f/1.4 Lens Review

lens arrived quickly and well packaged! He was in great shape too, everything about him works amazingly well. And the photos are just fantastic, this is my new lens! I will never go back to the machine!

I have a lot of 50mm lenses for my Pentax K1-II and f1.4 is my current favorite lens. The lens is smaller and lighter than an f1.2 lens and performs as well or even better than a standard f2 lens, which in turn is much lighter. I mostly use f1.4 - the lens is super sharp and the bokeh is nicer than the much more expensive f1.2

This is one of the BEST purchases I've ever made. I was ready to spend $$$ when I found this lens. I have to say that I was very skeptical when I bought it because it is a used lens. The boy was wrong! This lens is in excellent condition. Arrived on time. I had a bit of a problem setting up the Pentax K3, but in half an hour You Tube taught me what I needed to know. I'm so happy with this lens I don't think I'll be taking it off for a while.

I've never had a prime lens and the difference is amazing. I've also never had a lens that can open that wide and am having a pretty good time experimenting. It feels solid in your hands, a good weight but not heavy. The diaphragm is comfortable to use. I gave it 3 stars for durability because while I'm sure it's perfectly durable for the lens, I don't want anyone to think it shouldn't be treated with care.
