They run small. My daughter is tall and skinny, but when her buttocks fill the seat of these pants, they stretch so her underwear is showing through the stretch. Because of this, I would recommend increasing the size. In life, the color is more beautiful - more like a plum.

This is all my girl will wear. She has sensory issues with jeans and the belts on most other pants. After getting a pair of these she didn't wear her other leggings and I had to buy a few other pairs. For reference, she weighs about 65 pounds and usually wears a size 8. The medium sized pants fit her perfectly.

Bought these for my daughter to wear to a 5k race and we had to stop after 2 miles because they were rubbing the inside of her leg. After the race I checked and found a seam defect where they sewed multiple times in the same spot leaving a lump in the fabric and a bunch of threads sticking out. Buy with care and check the stitching before wearing.
