Great tip for fine work.

I use this tip for soldering through components on self-etched circuit boards. Basically I'm dealing with capacitors and resistors spaced 5mm to 7mm apart, some transistors and a lot of DIP8. or DIP16 IC. I like to make rectangular pads for my IC solder pads and a screwdriver tip works great for this. I recommend it for these purposes (for now). Although I keep the tip clean, I use these bugs a lot and they're good for about 4 to 6 months. If you do this together and only use the heat you need,

I ordered it as an ST1 tip but got a Weller ETA tip, not an ST1. If you read reviews with one star, others must have received the same. The description from this vendor says it is an ST1 tip and the photos show a 2.2 inch ST1 tip. Please note that the product description states that the tip is only 0.75 inches long. It also shows the UPC code 037103477286 for the ETA tip. ET series tips are designed for Weller WES51 soldering station, not WLC100. They are shorter, smaller in diameter, and have…
