Tried other shaving oils and they didn't do much. Somersets for sensitive skin convinced me. I use it under cup soap and it makes a difference. When I'm in a hurry, I can only shave with this oil. It also cools the face after shaving.

I've had enough of a few and this product is the best of them all. I apply it before the shaving cream. Refreshes your face. It really made a difference with razor burn.

Other reviewers rate the product fairly in terms of usage and benefits of using it. I purchased as part of the transition from Gillette Fusion and its ridiculously expensive blades to a single blade safety razor (Merkur with Feather blades). What I found is that I need about 5-6 drops (three doesn't cut) of Somersets to cover my face. At the same time, even with six drops of oil a day, I have enough for at least six months.

My husband loves this shaving oil, especially in the colder months. It protects his skin and ensures a very close shave.

Works well but needs 6-7 drops for my head and face. more than i expected. Leaves an oily residue on the sink, but cuts are very rare. I will buy again.
