Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX500 Digital Camera (Black) Bundle [Japan Import]: Unbeatable Features and Quality Review

There are only Japanese letters in the camera and there is no choice of English in the menu. The menu is extensive and cannot be used without the ability to read Japanese. The costs for the seller's right of return are outrageously high.

I bought this camera because my previous Sony (which I loved) fell in the sand - ahh! My previous Sony gave me great shots with a Zeiss lens, and I loved the size and "portability" of the line. So I thought this one would be perfect. In sunny weather it's almost impossible to see what you're trying to photograph on the LCD screen, no matter how you try to shade your eyes or the camera. We have been reviewing this purchase for several weeks, have seen the camera in store twice but were disappointed with the photos. The shots looked wide-angled, so if someone was anywhere on the edges of the photo, they were very distorted. That alone was enough to send it back as we can take photos like this with a phone camera, but for the price we expected a lot more from a camera. (I will say the sporting environment was awesome!
