Great Device Best Portable Audio Video

I love these little recorders and have had several over the years. I don't need it much, but I use it at home to take notes of all kinds on my various projects. It's especially handy when I'm disassembling something, I'll tell a short story about where the wires and hoses go during assembly. I also found this model particularly handy because it works for podcasts. I don't want to drain my phone for things like that and this device keeps it simple. I have an old Sansa MP3 player but I prefer it…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Nothing

Does its job well

The only thing I don't like about this recorder is the sound level meter. I just wish it was more like the audio level meter on my Olympus WS-853. The one on Olympus has a lot more increments and is much more responsive to changes. Otherwise, this voice recorder works perfectly. I mainly use it to record sermons (via the soundbar) at a church I attend. All controls are pretty basic. There are times when I want to view a specific part of a file but don't have much time to listen. I can easily…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Some problems

Ideal for recording lectures and conversations.

Ideal for recording lectures. Much smaller and much faster (on/off) than previous Sony voice recorders. I used to have a Sony ICD-AX412 replacing this one and it's an upgrade in every way. Backlit screen. The included AAA battery is rechargeable. It charges while you transfer your recordings to your computer. As far as I can tell, they only accept 32GB micro SD cards. I tried using a 128GB micro SD card and the registrar didn't even recognize it. Built-in noise filters suppress background noise

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • too blunt

Wonderful recorder for semi-professionals

Bought this recorder two years ago. The reviews said it was good but I was shocked at how good it was. I do semi-professional interviews to record the personal history of older Americans. If I place this recorder's built-in stereo microphones in the middle of the table and face us both, it easily picks up what we are both saying. It does so loud and clear, even when there is a bit of background noise, such as in a fairly quiet café with no street noise. Not only are the audio levels excellent…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Crumpled

Reminds me that Sony is doing good things compared to the cheap junk people are making now. The sound quality is very good, I didn't connect headphones or an external microphone. I'm using the internal microphone/speaker, I'm listening. on the PC as soon as I transfer the files. The battery I use is Panasonic BK-4HCCA8BA Eneloop Pro AAA. New High Capacity 950mAh Typical Pre-Charged Ni-MH Batteries 8-Pack. Can be charged via USB port (USB plug slides out of case) and plugged into your PC - not…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Volume

Impressive little dictaphone, perfect for journalists

I'm thrilled. I'm a journalist and I've always given phone interviews, typing in people's responses as they spoke. But I took on a different type of assignment, which involved doing live face-to-face interviews and interviewing people on the street. I have no experience with these little voice recorders but I love this thing. It captures understandable speech in offices, bars and busy streets. Even if someone overhears what we're talking about from afar and makes a casual comment, they pick it…

  • Done

Easy to use, reliable, excellent quality.

I have owned this recorder for several years and have found it easy to use with consistently good sound quality. Here are the features I like the most and have a hard time finding together in other recorders: - Backlight: You can see the screen even when it's dark. (Note: The light only stays on for a few seconds to avoid draining the battery. Turns back on when any button is pressed.) - Retractable USB connector - Transferring files to your computer is very easy, no cables or additional cable…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • For old

Without a doubt the best personal digital recorder I've ever used!

I bought a Sony ICD-UX533BLK based on online reviews and descriptions on Revain. The popularity and reviews gave me high hopes, although I was at odds with the reviews and suggestions I found for another, the Zoom H1. However, we tested the Zoom H1 side-by-side with the Sony ICD-UX533BLK recorder as the different locations and online descriptions on Revain made us unsure which would be better. I bought my college nephew a voice recorder so he can record lectures and homework and listen back to…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Ideal for recording any voice

This voice recorder offers amazing sound quality with good sensitivity for voice recording. I tried using a Sony powered external microphone but found that the recorder itself gives better recording without using an external microphone. There are sensitivity levels to play with. Dictation or personal notes will probably work slightly better with low sensitivity since you're speaking directly into the microphone. A high sensitivity is good for shooting indoors, e.g. B. at lectures, meetings etc.

Pros
  • that even old people can understand
Cons
  • Modern
