I have a fancy pair of Bluetooth wireless headphones, but they still can't match the reliability of wired headphones. Note that they don't have cable controls. (Sony offers other options!) They're reliable and I like them.

Whatever they're made of, they're not the materials I had before. The new ones sounded weak, with too much high end and no bass at all. My ear hurts when I hear anything with them. Definitely don't buy to replace the old one if you try this, don't waste money like me.

I hate when people say something is good for the money, but it is good for the money. I call myself a connoisseur of cheap headphones. This is leaps and bounds ahead of most cheap kits. They are fairly neutral and balanced. They don't sound dull or overly bass-heavy. I usually listen to classic rock, alternative, indie, podcasts and audio books.
