Many Sony UHS-II cards were recalled last week

I've been quite happy with this card in my A7RIII and really appreciate its speed, especially when used with a UHS-II reader on my computer is used. The loading is much faster than anything I've seen. But it occurred to me. Contact Sony support for a replacement. i did it today Newer ones with a * on the back should fit, mine bought in February was part of the recall.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Dismal hardware

Fast enough for most situations on a7r3

Works well on a7r3 for me. I don't know how it compares to a faster device that writes up to 299MB/s because I haven't tried it, but I've never experienced clutter when photographing portraits, events and nature, even in uncompressed RAW . uhs-1s were definitely slower in comparison and couldn't keep up with burst shooting even at low frame rates. If you're an extremely fast photographer and need to take dozens of burst shots over and over again, you'll probably want to compare faster cards…

Bought for $50 from seller Croni -

- so couldn't stop by. Tested the SD card (with h2testw_v1.4) for counterfeits/fakes, especially for bugs to avoid losing data later. The card is passed. While trying to reset RAW and video on a daily/weekly basis, I like the convenience of having more storage, especially when I'm traveling with photos and videos. Even though I had a 64GB SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I card in slot 1 and a 128GB SanDisk Extreme SDXC UHS-I card in slot 2, I can see and feel the difference when I put that card in

Just because it's Sony.

I used this card once. It worked once. I have just used it for the second time in 6 months and it has completely failed. I used it in my Sony A6300 and recorded around 20GB of 4K video. It looked good. After I turned the camera back on, the message "Cannot access memory card" appeared on my camera screen. I tried the map on my computer - no access. No recovery software can access it. I've tested many other SD cards in my camera and shot the same footage - they all work fine, no issues. If you…

A little pricey and slightly tested under specs, works for 4k with XT3

UPDATE: I've used these cards a few times and think they're not impressive. I bought a new USB3 SD card reader and still have no improvement in read/write times. What was actually even more concerning was that they increase the write speed and take a few seconds to reach full speed, which is still out of spec. OTH The Sandisk card I have immediately increases read and write speeds and runs faster. and worth 1/2 the price. I think I can return them. Works well for 4K 400Mbps recording in Fuji…

Pros
  • UV protection, X-ray protection, magnetic protection, static protection
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Storage with decent speed but not quite 150Mbps

Some of my old Samsung SD storage are dying. I wanted to get a Sony SD memory for my Sony A7 cameras. - Excellent reading speed. When I copy my photos from SD card to my computer. It's super fast now. I can easily copy several GB of photos in about a minute. The average write speed is around 120 MB/s, not the advertised 150 MB/s. It doesn't matter, but it would be better if it actually ran at 150MB/s write speed. It captures RAW images faster on my Sony A7III compared to my old Samsung SD. I…

Pros
  • Uhs-ii (mrw-s1) reader required to implement transfer speed
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
